Christian Engelhart well-prepared after Roar Before in Daytona 2019

Preparations for the prestigious 24 Hours of Daytona from January 24 to 27, 2019, are complete.

Together with the GRT Grasser Racing Team, Christian Engelhart and his teammates Mirko Bortolotti and Rolf Ineichen have put the brand-new Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo through its paces. The official “Roar Before” test in Daytona helps teams make final preparations for the 24-hour race and tune the car as perfectly as possible.

“We’re well-prepared. The new Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo ran without the slightest technical problem and we’ve now gelled as a team. We used the test to prepare specifically for the race and gain a good understanding of the new car. I feel sure we’ll see a very exciting race, especially in the GT3 class, which is termed GTD in America. I’m already looking forward to this big challenge very much.”

Before the 24 Hours of Daytona gets underway, Christian will travel right away to the first highlight of the year: He and his teammates will line up for the GRT Grasser Racing Team in the Dubai 24 Hours. Last year, the pilots managed to capture a place on the rostrum after starting in pole position, despite three instances of tire damage, so they also have ambitious objectives this year.
