Dinkel/Kießling chalk up second win of the season in Division 2

Lübbecke, 06-15-2019

Patrik Dinkel and Stefan Kießling captured their second victory of the season in Division 2 at the Stemweder Berg Rally and were the quickest team of the weekend in their Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9.

The result was not foreseeable after the first day of the rally. The competition got off to a good start to the weekend of rallying and was able to keep the team of Dinkel/Kießling behind it until the end of the fourth trial. On the Saturday afternoon, Patrik Dinkel clocked the best time on trial 5 to help his team take over at the top. He followed that up with consistently fast times and so did not give his rivals a chance. After this third race, Patrik Dinkel has 50 points and shares the lead in the 2019 ADAC GT Masters with Carsten Mohe and Kai Otterbach.

Patrik Dinkel commented: “After we had to rebuild the engine this week, we’re over the moon about our second win of the season and sixth place overall in the Stemweder Berg Rally. The rally went just about perfectly for us. The routes on the Saturday suited my style of driving and we were able leverage our potential to the full on them.”
