ENBL: Bamberg Baskets Secure Second Place in Group After Victory

The Bamberg Baskets convincingly won their last ENBL group game with a score of 74:60 (36:21) against the Fyllingen Lions. From the start, Coach Anton Gavel's team dominated the game and steadily increased their lead until the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Due to injuries and illnesses, Bamberg had to play without Karsten Tadda, Kevin Wohlrath, KeyShawn Feazell, and Brandon Horvath. However, young talent Ben Diederichs from partner club BBC Coburg joined the trip to Norway. Noah Locke put the Gavel team in a clear lead with early points, including two three-pointers. Just over two and a half minutes had passed, and Bamberg was already leading 7:2. After the first quarter, the guests led 23:11. The second quarter was also one-sided, with Bamberg continuously extending their lead to 36:21 by halftime. Even after the break, the game flow changed little. The Bamberg team remained superior, making it easy for Coach Gavel to evenly distribute playing time among his players. The guests' lead continued to grow, reaching over 20 points for the first time after a three-pointer by Kyle Lofton in the 24th minute (49:28). In the last quarter, the Bamberg Baskets slowed down a bit but secured the well-deserved victory without any trouble.
On Sunday, February 9, 2025, the Bamberg Baskets will host the EWE Baskets Oldenburg in the BBL. The game starts at 4:30 PM.
