Krawietz and Pütz have to miss the BMW Open

München, 04-23-2024

Just one week after their quarter-final exit at the Monte-Carlo Masters, Coburg tennis player Kevin Krawietz and his team partner Tim Pütz were due to play the next ATP tournament in Munich. However, the Frankfurt native suffered an injury in the run-up to the tournament, which meant that his participation in his home country had to be canceled at short notice. Their first round opponents would have been Marcus Daniell (New Zealand) and Philipp Oswald (Austria), who were eliminated in the quarter-finals. In the doubles final, India's Bhambri and his French partner Olivetti came out on top in a thrilling match against the German duo Andreas Mies and Jan-Lennard Struff.

After recent good placings at other ATP Masters tournaments, Krawietz and Pütz lost the opportunity to collect more points for the world rankings, which are important for later participation in the Summer Olympics in France, due to the injury.
