Tennis: Krawietz/Pütz successful start at the French Open

Paris, 05-31-2023

The German doubles team, consisting of Kevin Krawietz from Witzmannsberg and Tim Pütz from Hesse, has mastered the first hurdle at the French Open. In their opening match at the Grand Slam tournament in Paris, the German duo beat Zhang Zhizhen from China and Victor Vlad Cornea from Romania 7:5, 6:4.

Krawietz and Pütz were originally scheduled to play the Serbian duo Nikola Cacic and Dusan Lajovic. However, Lajovic could not play due to an injury, so Zhizhen and Cornea were drawn as substitute opponents for the German doubles.

In the second round, Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz will now face Romain Arneodo from Monaco and Sam Weissborn from Austria on Friday morning.

All French Open matches will be broadcast live on Eurosport and can also be followed online here .
