Wimbledon: Krawietz/Mies defeated in quarterfinals

Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies lost to the second seeded defending champions Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic 4:6, 3:6 and 3:6.

Krawietz last faced the Croatian doubles at the ATP Finals in Turin in 2021 - at that time, however, alongside Horia Tecau, who had stepped in for the injured Mies.

This time, the tennis pro from Ahorn near Coburg was able to compete again with his long-time team partner from Cologne. But against the well-rehearsed Croatian doubles team, the currently best German doubles team was unable to find a means and had to bow out of the tournament.
