Calculation Engineer-Simulation Services

Your tasks

  • Develop and perform nonlinear dynamic or structural simulations using LS-Dyna solver to improve and enhance new products and simulation methods.
  • Independent building and performing start-to-end simulations using LS-Dyna solver– Structural and Dynamic - on varying products and components.
  • Responsible for collecting input data, clarifying the scope of work, discussion of boundary conditions, results with various interfaces (interfaces described on next page).
  • Independent organization of meetings, preparation and explaining of results to the requesters.
  • Support in investigation of new simulation methods and best practices according to needs.
  • Active proposal of recommendations to improve design and simulation results in alignment with the boundary conditions and practical applications.
  • Responsible for documentation, lessons learnt, results and periodical communication of best practices.

Your Profile

  • Master’s or Bachelor's degree in mechanical/Thermal/Structural/Materials/Machine Design engineering with min. 3-5 yrs. of industry experience mainly in nonlinear and dynamic simulations.
  • Extended knowhow and knowledge in structural or dynamic simulation and LS-Dyna will be required.
  • Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, hand calculations, structural dynamics.
  • Hands of experience on modal analysis or other simulation disciplines in LS-Dyna will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of German language will be an added advantage; not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material science is nice to have;not mandatory.
  • Hands-on skills for MS Office: power-point presentations word and excel documentations.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to learn and accepting new challenges.
