Design Engineer-Electronic Integration_Brose Sitech

- Is a member of design team in complete seats department.
- Design and development experience in Complete Seat components. Must have excellent knowledge and experience in Automotive Seats electronic components requirements, and it’s integration with seats and car ECU etc.
- Production-oriented design of electrical components in seats e.g. wire harness routing, electrical drawings etc.
- Has excellent knowledge of electrical and electronics systems used in seats systems along with interface requirements. He or she is a strong integrator of seat electrical system.
- Capable of representing all electrical and electronic activities during product development, which calls for close co-operation with team engineers, test engineer, suppliers and OEM.
- Integration of electronic components e.g. safety components, airbags, seat belt reminder, belt buckles, seat heating, climate system, wire harnesses, sensorics, control units and pneumatic elements into automotive seats from the concept phase to a production-ready series design.
- Design and construction from pre-development to series production and deadline tracking for all electronic components and the OEM process.
- Close communication with suppliers and customers to ensure progress during design and development of project.
- Package studies of the electronic components in the complete seat surrounding.
- Design of 3D kinematics, creation of envelope curves, application of advanced kinematic functions.
- Investigations with data in Catia and hardware to ensure compliance with customer and legal requirements for the scope of the csc.
- Checking the requirements according to Brose Sitech standards.
- The electronic component engineer controls the creation of CAD data for all kinds of releases at suppliers or subcontractors.
- Responsible for internal data management in Brose Sitech PDM and customer PDMs like KVS, Connect or SMARAGD.
- The electronic component engineer creates release documents for the release milestones.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree (B. E or B. Tech.) in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical engineering/Automotive engineering or equivalent.
- Between 6 to 9 years professional experience in automobile related industries preferred in automotive seat systems after university graduation in engineering degree.
- Experience in seat development with OEMs, best case VW or Mercedes.
- Strong communication skills to deal with OEM customers and suppliers.
- Experienced with Catia V5 incl. handling and creation of Catia products in assembly design and handling kinematics.
- Experience with SMARAGD, Connect, KVS and other OEM PDM systems will be added advantage.
- Experience in cable routing in the complete seat, integration of complete seat components and safety components.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the electronic function and interaction of the electronic components in the seat and towards the vehicle interface.
