Design Engineer Seat System

Your tasks

  • Creates/develops/realizes designs in CAD, that dictates the geometric form and describe the control of manufactured products. Active in development of concepts in accordance with Product Workshops. Develops design concepts into qualitative cost effective designs.
  • Represents all design activities during product development, which calls for close co-operation with project engineer and test engineer. Interfaces and seeks agreement on design details, perhaps with customer/suppliers.
  • Independent member of the development team – influence on product engineering.
  • Independent creation of designs, assembly drawings, single part drawings, bill of materials for new and serie production products in accordance with: Brose standards and procedures, product workshop assumptions/goals, customer specification, use of standard components, reuse of designs and parts, Brose production feasibilities and standards, legal requirements, internal and external norms and standards, external Know How (suppliers) and internal Know How.
  • Perform technical calculations (strength, weight, package), simulations (kinematics, FEM Catia GPS) and organize complex technical calculations and interprete results.
  • Independent calculation of functional dimensions and tolerances in accordance with the results of testing and simulation.
  • Detailing of concepts, designs and changes in close coordination with design engineer, test, sample building, production planning and purchasing.
  • Realization of principle investigations for product improvement, realization of innovations.
  • Active participation in development team Meetings (EAK), in formal design/engineering reviews (A- D Checklist, DFMEA, FEM meetinges, specification review, etc), and informal reviews with Test Engineer and Team Engineer.
  • Ensures designs being made available in a timely manner to support releases (e.g. -100 release), co-ordinates/negotiates on alternate design completion dates.
  • Expansion of expertise in relation of daily working procedures, content and know how.
  • Support Benchmarking of products.
  • Considers all valid procedures, job instructions and organizational instructions.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree (B. E or B. Tech.) in Mechanical engineering/Automotive engineering is preferred in the automotive field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Between 5 to 8 years professional experience in automobile related industries prefered in automotive seat mechanism after university graduation in engineering degree.
