Head of Logistics Planning

Your Tasks

  • Lead the logistics planning team in developing and implementing end-to-end logistics processes for new product launches, from supplier through customer delivery, including internal material flow.
  • Lead alignment between Logistics Planning and plant cross-functional teams to ensure successful and seamless program launches.
  • Represent the Logistics function, including Plant Logistics and Logistics Planning, in North America Manufacturing Concept Reviews to ensure material flow principles are considered, aligned, and optimized.
  • Define and monitor goals and objectives for the Logistics Planning team to ensure alignment with regional logistics priorities and business needs.
  • Represent Plant Logistics and Logistics Planning in North America Buying Decision Meetings to ensure decisions consider total landed cost.
  • Partner with Indirect Purchasing to negotiate competitive pricing and favorable terms with logistics service providers.
  • Lead the development and governance of standard operating processes within the Americas region in collaboration with Central Logistics.
  • Review and approve annual logistics investment and cost budget plans for plant logistics and logistics planning.
  • Provide oversight of logistics operations across the Americas region, including plants, to ensure process adherence and drive delivery efficiency.
  • Communicate regional logistics performance to senior management at regional and global headquarters.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other Logistics/Materials Management/Packaging related major from a four-year college or university.
  • 6–8 years of work experience, including plant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of transportation, customs, packaging, materials management, material flow, problem solving, quality systems and OEM logistics requirements.
  • English – business fluency.
  • Spanish – basic knowledge.
