Logistics Planner

Logistics Planner

  • To generate concept alternatives in cooperation with quality, manufacturing, plant planning, IT and the facilities / headquarters in consideration of customer specifications
  • Evaluation of the above mentioned concept alternatives in cooperation with Controlling according common procedures
  • Creation of specifications for requests to logistics service providers; Support in individual container planning and creation of necessary specification sheets; Support in creation of specification sheets regarding general logistics investments (such as e.g. stock, transportation, etc.) as well as IT-Systems (PE, Host)
  • Choose Logistic Service Providers in consideration of process and cost point of view, in cooperation with the purchasing department (if necessary, in reconciliation with the customer)
  • Implementation and introduction of planned Logistic concepts for series production in cooperation with the particular departments (i.e. plant manufacturing, customer team, suppliers and customers); Documentation and maintenance of the acquired knowledge concerning the planning and generation of JIT processes in the plants

Your Profile

  • College education, vocational training/work experience; Or engineering degree with commercial basic knowledge or Industrial Engineer
  • Three to five years of work experience in the automobile industry or ancillary industry, preferably with experience in JIT/JIS procedures
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), and Outlook
