Pre-Series Buyer

Your tasks

  • Creation of project-specific, global procurement concepts for A and B samples and joint approval with the project management, the respective functions, and the supervisor
  • Independent preparation and performance of RFQs, as well as independently conduct and conclude price negotiations to select the suppliers for pre-series projects
  • Independently conduct and conclude annual price negotiations and agree framework agreements and price conditions with pre-series suppliers
  • Ensure the industrialization of production equipment and the ramp-up in the plant by providing parts demands on time in global projects in cooperation with commodity purchasing, industrial engineering and plant logistics
  • Strategic expansion of the supplier base for pre-series in alignment with the other business units and regions, among other things by carrying out benchmarks
  • Creation and coordination of measures that lead to potential cost savings in pre-series sales
  • Submission and implementation of proposals for the possible optimization of tooling costs
  • Independent target setting for pre-series demands across the various development phases of a product as input for quotation and product calculation in alignment with the supervisor

Your Profile

  • Basic studies in the field of technical or economical sciences, VII level of education
  • 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Knowledge of target costing and value analysis (preferable)
  • Technical knowledge regarding manufacturing technologies (preferable)
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of project management methods
  • Experience in automotive industry (preferable)
  • Knowledge of contract law and purchasing law (preferable)
  • Fluent English language skills
