Process Engineer Intern - Welding Technology (Year- Round)

Your tasks

Providing and implementing methods to improve the quality of the production processes for all welding technologies (ie. MIG/MAG, Projection, CMT, laser, Remote, etc)
Support Cut and Etch process during prototype builds
Shadow audits / supplier visits during prototype builds with our team
Shadow weld fixture design release with our team
Setup, program and execute LBW and GMAW programs for prototype builds
Shadow build management process including scrap, target quantities, timing
Travel to local brose plants to see our production processes and methods (shadowed with welding team)
Review drawing specifications (in standard drawings) and welding technology standards and provide deviation requests as necessary
Continuous improvement of the welding technology processes regarding quality and costs
Adhere to Safety requirements of the Welding Application center / Brose North America

Your Profile

Must be currently attending a college or university
Industrial, Mechanical or Welding Engineering major
Must be at least sophomore standing
Start Date- This position is planned to start May 1, 2024
Hybrid (in office at Auburn Hills location 3 days a week dependent on school schedule)
Able to work 15-20 hours per week on average during the school year/ flexible schedule
Able to work 30-40 hours per week on average during the summer/ flexible schedule
