Prototype coordinator (m/f/d)

Your Job Specification

  • Planning, implementation and control of all sample processes including technical specifications for the timely, qualitative and cost-effective production of prototypes
  • Allocation, management, organisation and supervision of the provision of parts / assemblies with the specialist departments and external companies for prototypes
  • Support in the establishment and development of new prototype suppliers in consultative coordination with the head of prototype construction
  • Assurance of the quality of the product and the installed individual parts according to the production control plan. Creation and provision of documentation
  • Performance of feasibility assessment of technical concepts within the development process under economic and technical aspects
  • Analysis and optimization of products and processes within the framework of the knowledge gained in prototyping and preparation of proposals for the development working group
  • Coordinate priorities both at the time of commissioning and during the manufacturing process. Define interfaces. Technical support of the purchasing department in the selection of suppliers as well as in placing orders. Ordering of individual parts after coordination with the purchaser
  • Constant optimization of internal procedures and processes in the technically assigned working group
  • Know-how transfer to series production by training of employees in the production team and exchange with production planning

Your Profile

  • At least 3 years of experience as a master craftsman in the metal industry or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired in any other way
  • Ability to read construction drawings/circuit diagrams
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of assembling components to mechatronic systems
