Simulation Engineer - Drives systems

Your Job Specification

  • Perform finite element based Static and dynamic structural simulations for Drives assemblies, sub-assemblies, motors, cooling fan modules using Ansys workbench software. Deliver results with Quality and in time
  • Responsible for discussion of results within various interfaces having good Communication skills and setting up meetings and explaining results to the requesters
  • Responsible for providing time estimates and project delivery dates for his work
  • Apart from normal simulation, responsible for proposing modifications to the design/process based on simulation results and practical conditions. Make recommendations and implements actions involving complex dynamic and acoustic engineering problems, including those that apply to unconventional integrated systems
  • Responsible to work on improvements if required as per feedbacks on his projects
  • Interfaces with project Chief Engineers to address issues involving project and program reviews
  • Regularly participates on review and investigation panels providing structural and/or dynamic analysis
  • Support the supervisor in cases where stretched efforts needed to support business needs

Your Profile

  • Bachelors or Master degree in Mechanical/Thermal/Structural/Civil/Materials/Machine Design engineering with min. 2yrs. of industry experience mainly in Structural Nonlinear and Dynamic simulations using Ansys Workbench
  • Must have analytical ability to explain results. Should be sound in usage of Ansys Design Modeler, Ansys structural solver and Ansys post-processing. Domains: Structural static Finite element analysis, Structural dynamic finite element analysis and modal analysis
  • Must be able to provide engineering and technical justification of the results apart from normal post processing and interpretation
  • Should possess hands on expertise and wealth of ideas for Design modeler issues, convergence issues
  • Good understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, hand calculations, structural dynamics
  • Knowledge of material properties of metals and plastics will be added advantage
  • Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Should demonstrate initiative and flexibility
