Tooling Engineer

Your Job Specification

  • Responsible to ensure supplier tooling is built to Brose standards in a cost effective manner and in compliance with established timelines
  • Throughout life of tooling the Tool Engineer is responsible to monitor the ongoing condition of tooling through the supplier
  • Responsible for part feasibility and estimating, providing technical feedback to design and purchasing teams
  • Maintain, audit, and oversee all current and new tooling. Calculate tool cost targets and assist in reviewing quotes associated with tool building and modification.
  • Work in conjunction with Commodity and Team Buyers, and the Supplier Quality Engineers to reduce ppms and ensure proper maintenance and construction of tooling.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor degree in related field; or three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • GD&T knowledge
  • Product feasibility, tooling concepts, cost estimation knowledge in plastics or metals
