In top form at the start of the year: Krapütz reach Adelaide final again

Adelaide , 01-17-2026

Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz lost the final of the ATP 250 tournament in Adelaide, just like last year. The German doubles players were clearly defeated by reigning world champions Harri Heliövaara and Henry Patten 3-6, 2-6. Krawietz and Pütz struggled to find their rhythm from the start: they fell behind early in the first set and lost their serve twice in the second.

Despite the defeat, "Krapütz," both ranked 11th in the world doubles rankings, take home around €16,400 in prize money and 150 world ranking points. They now move on to the Australian Open, where they reached the semifinals last year – also against Heliövaara and Patten.

In the final, the Finn and the Brit proved to be superior, especially on their serves. Pütz lost his serve early in the first set, while Krawietz produced a costly double fault on the deciding point in the second set. After about an hour, their opponents converted their first match point.
