BBC Coburg returns to form with victory in top match

Coburg , 02-15-2026

BBC Coburg responded strongly after a weak performance in Fellbach, defeating Porsche BBA Ludwigsburg 83-68 in the top match of ProB South. In front of more than 800 spectators, the Vestestädter showed a marked improvement, especially in the second half, and handed the league's best away team only its second defeat on the road. The outstanding players were Dylan Fasoyiro (23 points) and Darius Dawson (22), who presented Ludwigsburg with insurmountable tasks for long stretches.

Coach Patrick Seidel was very satisfied afterwards, saying that his team had responded well to the more intensive training week and shown the desired reaction. The decisive factor was above all the strong defensive performance, which kept the talented visitors below 70 points.

Coburg started energetically and initially pulled away after a 12:4 run in the first quarter (29:17). But Ludwigsburg fought back with an offensive run before the break and reduced the deficit to 41:39. It was not until the third quarter that the BBC managed to pull away again. Theiß, Fasoyiro, and Dawson established a double-digit lead before Coburg finally pulled away in the final quarter. A three-pointer by Herzog and Dawson's spectacular dunk sealed the home victory, and Fasoyiro put the finishing touches on the game.

With its eighth win in nine home games, the BBC climbs to the top of the table for the time being. However, its position remains shaky, as pursuer Ulm still has games in hand.

Fans of BBC Coburg won't have to wait long for their team's next home game. This coming Saturday evening (February 21), the current league leaders will host the Tropics from Oberhaching – and have a score to settle from the first half of the season.
