Rothenbaum triumph: Krawietz and Pütz claim third title in Hamburg
Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz have won the ATP tournament in Hamburg, continuing their impressive winning streak at the Rothenbaum. The German duo defeated France’s Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul 6–3, 4–6, 10–8 in the final to secure their third title together at the event.
Krawietz and Pütz made a strong start, taking the opening set 6–3 with aggressive play and quick reactions at the net. In the second set, Doumbia and Reboul found their rhythm, earned an early break and leveled the match at 6–4 despite a brief fightback from the Germans. The match was decided in the champions tiebreak: trailing at times, Krawietz and Pütz kept their composure, battled back, earned match points and eventually converted their chance to seal a 10–8 victory.
With this win, they extend their unbeaten run in Hamburg to twelve matches and make tournament history: they are only the second doubles team in the Open Era to win the Rothenbaum title three times together.
Off the court, both players showed great sportsmanship, praising their opponents and thanking the fans for their support. With this success behind them, Krawietz and Pütz now head to the French Open in Paris full of confidence, where they will compete as one of the top doubles teams.
