Krawietz and Pütz Advance to the U.S. Open Final

Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz are once again in the U.S. Open final. The German Davis Cup doubles team cruised to a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury in the semifinals and are now aiming for their first Grand Slam title together.

After their loss in the 2024 final, the duo from Coburg and Frankfurt now has a chance for redemption and the greatest achievement of their career together. In Saturday’s final at 6 p.m., Krawietz and Pütz will face Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

“We’re overjoyed to be back in the final,” said Pütz after advancing to the championship match. Krawietz was also optimistic: “We feel great and are looking forward to our second final since 2024.”

The pair’s biggest triumph together so far was winning the 2024 ATP Finals. Now they want to make history in New York and claim Germany’s first US Open men’s doubles title since Philipp Petzschner’s victory in 2011.
