Five Brose plants receive Jaguar Land Rover Award
Jaguar Land Rover has presented Brose's production plants in Coventry (UK), Ostrava (Czech Republic), Tondela (Portugal), Wuppertal and Würzburg (Germany) with the "JLRQ Award". The British car manufacturer awards this prize to suppliers who meet the high requirements in terms of quality, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
In a letter, Ian Harnett (Director of Purchasing at Jaguar Land Rover) and Terry Sampson (Director,
Supplier Technical Assistance at Jaguar Land Rover) write, “We congratulate Brose and extend our thanks to all the staff whose commitment has contributed to the high quality of our vehicles. "The JLRQ Award is an important milestone in achieving continuous improvement and meeting our premium quality standards over the long term."
This is a challenge that Bernd Schieweck (Vice-President Quality, Brose Group) is happy to take on: “The quality award is an incentive or us to maintain this level of performance and to improve on it. We will keep scrutinizing our products and processes, looking for potential for improvement so as to provide the best possible support to our customer in achieving their objectives.”
Brose's plant in Coventry supplies Jaguar Land Rover with seat systems and window regulators. Autumn 2011 will see an important start of series production for two new vehicle models at this plant. The plants in Ostrava and Wuppertal produce closure systems for the British carmaker, Tondela supplies drives for liftgates and trunk lids, and Würzburg produces cooling fan modules.
