Frankfurt/Main, 09-11-2019

Video projections in the windows, new concepts for swivel/sliding doors and flexible seat systems and interior components: Automotive supplier Brose shows a futuristic exhibit at the International Motor Show (IAA) 2019 in Frankfurt am Main to demonstrate innovative and connected functions for future generations of vehicles.

The vehicle identifies drivers as they approach. Projections on the window panes welcome them by name, show the battery charging status or inform them of the latest headlines from their favorite news site. Boarding is both flexible and comfortable: each door can swing or slide open separately. When combined with the adjustable seat contour, lowerable armrests and the steering wheel that disappears into the cockpit, they make vehicle boarding comfortable and convenient no matter what the situation.

The vehicle interior can be configured for a wide range of usage scenarios from working to relaxing. The rear seats offer comfortable seating for three people – or the seats and backrests can adjust their contours for individual seating and offer two passengers maximum comfort. Splittable screens that offer up to four personalized audio/video zones extend from the middle armrests and cockpit.

Brose is presenting all of the possibilities afforded by this forward-looking scenario at the IAA with a futuristic exhibit that connects innovative door and seat functions. The mechatronics specialist further expanded its vehicle interior expertise and is demonstrating storage compartments that can extend from the interior trim, new comfortable reclining seats with integrated belts and active control of air nozzles. These controls automatically adjust the flow of air from the air conditioning system to the changing seating positions. The exhibit is controlled via an app – the supplier is also showcasing its electronics expertise by linking all of the features and coordinating more than 80 motors.

Discover more at the Brose stand D01/D02 in Hall 4.0 at the IAA 2019 from 12 to 22 September. Brose is already offering a virtual taste on the web: the automotive supplier has updated its website prior to the opening of the IAA with a completely new animation and imagery to spark curiosity about the Brose innovations.
