These must be updated regularly. This is done via the certificate/self-assessment upload form.
Certificates (e.g. IATF 16949, ISO 14001): every 3 years
Self-assessments (e.g. for D-parts, CQI): every year
Mechatronics
Brose specialized for innovations in mechatronics. Our requirements range from cable harnesses and individual electrical and electronic components to complete electric motors. We set high standard and seek reliable, innovative, high-performance components for our products. Our specifications leave no margin for error. This is the only way we can ensure that our customers receive the quality they expect from Brose worldwide.
Metal
Our products impress our customers with their precision, functionality and durability. We use only the best metals, metal components and assemblies in order to meet customers' expectations. In addition to strip steel and aluminum coils, we use prefabricated parts in our deep-drawing, stamping, die casting, welding and cold forming processes. High-strength and ultra-light steels in our front seats help us to set benchmarks for lightweight design.
Plastics
Plastic-based components will play an increasingly important role in current and future automotive technology. We use these extremely light, robust materials primarily in door systems. With their low weight, plastics reduce fuel consumption and, as a result, lower CO2 emissions in line with legislation. We use plastic pellets in our production processes, as well as prefabricated plastic components. We use hybrid metal and plastic materials in our closure systems and seat adjusters.
Assemblies
Mechanical system assemblies are delivered ready to be installed in order to speed up the assembly process and increase our productivity. The same applies to Bowden cables for our window regulator, seat and closure systems. Both are produced according to our own specifications. We expect a high level of production stability and flexibility from our suppliers as well as active involvement in continuous product improvements and developments.
Investments and services
Besides basic materials and finished components for production, our sourcing requirements include complex assembly lines, special machinery and test facilities, as well as tools for metal forming and plastic processing. In addition to innovative IT hardware and software, we are always on the lookout for efficient service providers in the areas of logistics, development and facility management.
