Rally Franconian Switzerland: Clear affair for Dinkel brothers

The 41st edition of the Rally Franconian Switzerland attracted 69 teams to Hollfeld with four start-finish stages, each of which had to be driven twice. The challenging stages and the good organization were well received by the teams and the several thousand fans.

With six of the eight possible best times, local hero Dominik Dinkel and co Pirmin Winklhofer in the Ford Fiesta Rally2 secured a commanding overall victory. For Dinkel, this was the third victory in a row in Franconian Switzerland.

A best time went to the account of Patrick, the younger brother of Dominik Dinkel, who finished fourth overall with Tamara Lutz in the Mitsubishi Lancer. As best placed behind the favored R2 cars and class winner, they celebrated a perfect end of the season.

Dominik Dinkel's next event, the 3-City Rally, is scheduled for next weekend.
