Historic triumph: Krawietz/Pütz win ATP Finals

Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz have won the final of the ATP Finals. At the tournament for the world's best tennis players, they defeated world number one Marcelo Arévalo and Mate Pavic 7:6 (7:5), 7:6 (8:6) in a nerve-wracking final.
A historic success, as no German team had ever reached the final before. With this victory, Krawietz, the French Open winner in 2019 and 2020, once again made sporting history. Brose has been supporting the tennis pro from Ahorn near Coburg on his way to the top of the world rankings since 2008.

After winning in Hamburg in July, this is the first major title for the German duo, who have been competing together since the beginning of 2023. They failed to reach the final at the US Open in September. Today they are celebrating their historic triumph. "I can't find the words. We're proud of ourselves," said Krawietz shortly after the victory.
Now the two tennis professionals can unofficially call themselves tennis world champions!
However, the pair don't have much time to celebrate. They are already playing in the quarter-finals of the Davis Cup for the German national team next Wednesday. The first match will be against the team from Canada in Malaga.
