BBL: Bamberg wins clearly against MBC

The Bamberg Baskets have impressively ended their four-game losing streak in the Bundesliga. Against Central German BC, they celebrated a sovereign 87-69 (49-31) victory in front of 4385 spectators in the BROSE Arena. Defensively, Bamberg showed one of the best performances of the season. Five players also scored in double figures.
Bamberg controlled the game from the beginning and was able to pull away to 24-14 in the first quarter thanks to a concentrated defense and a solid team performance. Youngster Adrian Petkovic made good use of his playing time and skilfully set the scene with assists. Ronaldo Segu in particular showed himself to be strengthened again, after two weak games recently, the playmaker was "on fire" again and scored 16 of his 21 points at the break. Noah Locke provided the 49-31 halftime lead with his second three-pointer. Even after the break, the Baskets kept the pace high. MBC tried an aggressive zone defense, but Bamberg hardly let it put them off. Filip Stanic dominated under the baskets and hit the dunk to make it 69-46. Even when the guests came back to 17 points in the final quarter, the home side remained calm. Top scorer Segu nipped any remaining doubts in the bud with five points in a row. At the latest with Ibrahim Watson's three-pointer to make it 81-57, the game was decided.
