Davis Cup: DTB Team Wins Against Israel

The German Davis Cup team has reached the next round without much difficulty. Even in the absence of top players Alexander Zverev and the ill Jan-Lennard Struff, the team led by national coach Michael Kohlmann clearly won 3-1 against Israel. In the battle for a spot in the finals in Bologna in November, Germany will now face Japan in mid-September, which defeated Great Britain 3-2.
The decisive third point was secured by the doubles team of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz. The 2024 ATP Finals champions crushed the Israeli duo Daniel Cukierman and Amit Vales 6-0, 6-3. The completely one-sided match lasted just over an hour. On Friday, Maximilian Marterer and Yannick Hanfmann had already won their singles matches.
