Motorsport: DTM debut season for Christian Engelhart

New team, brand new Porsche and a new environment for Christian Engelhart: The Starnberg driver starts his debut season in the DTM this coming weekend. Anticipation yes, tension - not at all. On the contrary, the Porsche veteran wants to race for points right from the start.

The time for testing is over, now it's time to score points. "That's what I'm here for. I'm looking forward to my first DTM season. Most of my competitors know me - and I know them. It's an absolutely top-class field of drivers and the DTM is definitely one of the best GT series worldwide this year. It's going to be intense fights in all the races," Christian looks ahead with anticipation.

Together with his team toksport WRT, the 2020 ADAC GT Masters champion and last year's runner-up released the livery of his Porsche 911 GT3 R this week. "That's always a special moment when you finally see how everything looks and whether our considerations work in real terms. They do, I say!"

Everything should also work from Friday, when the first free practice of the season takes place in the Magdeburger Börde. "Then we will get an impression for the first time how strong the competition is in comparison. That's an important moment, but Saturday and Sunday will be even more important."

Then the first two races of the season are on the schedule. The race weekend in Oschersleben will again be broadcast live on "ran racing" on ProSieben and also live on ran.de and on JOYN. The broadcast will start at 1 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
