Tennis: Early end for Krawietz/Pütz in Rome
The round of 16 match of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz was cancelled even before the start. The reason: health problems of Krawietz's doubles partner.
Even before the German doubles team could start their round of 16 duel against the Dutch doubles team Haase/Van de Zandschulp on Tuesday morning, they had to end the tournament prematurely. Tim Pütz pulled a muscle in his ribs and is now taking a break from the game on the doctors' recommendation.
Krawietz/Pütz then want to start with new energy at the French Open on May 28. Krawietz last won the French Open in 2019 and 2020 with his former doubles partner Andreas Mies.
