Accountant

Your tasks

  • Maintain accurate financial records pertaining to fixed asset such as assets under construction, book and tax depreciation, inventories with sub-ledger reconciliation, and maintain additions and disposals.
  • Support customer teams through entire maintenance of accounts receivable functions such as cash application, invoice dispute resolution, management of aged accounts and customer collections.
  • Perform inter-company billing including follow up of inquiries, invoice dispute resolution and management of aged accounts.
  • Participate in activities leading up to and completing month end close resulting in accurate monthly reconciliations of various accounts.
  • Keep accounting system, process documentation, and department procedures updated with all relevant information.
  • Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
  • Reviews, investigates and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
  • Installs, modifies, documents and coordinate implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures as necessary.
  • Perform/participate in ad hoc projects as needed.

Your Profile

  • Four year college or university degree in accounting preferred or relevant accounting experience.
  • Three to five years’ work experience in accounting, primarily in general ledger accounting
  • Automotive experience helpful but not required.
