Chief Executive Officer
Ulrich Schrickel is Chief Executive Officer of the Brose Group. In this role he is also responsible for Advanced Development and Innovations, Electronics, Marketing and Communications along with the China and North America markets. Moreover, he is head of the Future Brose renewal program.
Following his studies in Mechanical Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, he started his professional career at Robert Bosch GmbH in 1994. He headed up production facilities in the Czech Republic and Italy, was responsible for central quality management and worked as Senior Vice President, Business Unit Transmission Control. His last position was as Co-Director, Automotive Electronics. He took over as Brose’s Executive Vice President Door in August 2019 before entering his current position at the beginning of 2020.
Executive Vice President Operations
Thomas Spangler is responsible for the Central Division Operations along with the global plants and Quality, Logistics, Facility Planning and Production Technology. He is also the head of the Industry 4.0 project and deputy to Ulrich Schrickel.
Thomas Spangler graduated with a degree in material sciences from Friedrich-Alexander University, Erlangen-Nuremberg. He joined the Brose Group as a trainee in 1992 and later headed production activities at the Querétaro plant in Mexico from 1994 to 1998. Thomas Spangler was the general manager of the Coburg plant until 2005. He was Executive Vice President of Production and thus responsible for production facilities worldwide from July 2005 to June 2010. As President Asia, he made a significant contribution to business development between 2010 and 2015 in the most important growth region in the automotive industry before returning to the executive management board.
Executive Vice President Commercial Administration
Niklas Beyes is responsible for Commercial Administration in the Brose Group. He also heads up the functional areas Legal & Compliance along with Information Systems.
Niklas Beyes studied business administration at the University of Göttingen. He began his career in 1995 at a global auditing firm. The business administration graduate completed his exams to become a tax adviser and auditor while working full time. Niklas Beyes has held a variety of international leadership positions in the automotive supplier industry since 2005. He switched to the executive management board of the Brose Group in May 2018.
Executive Vice President Drives
Raymond Mutz heads up the Drives Business Division, which includes products such as the electric air conditioning compressor along with solutions for thermal management, the drive train, chassis, brakes and steering systems. He is also responsible for e-bike drives and systems.
Raymond Mutz studied business administration at the Würzburg University of Applied Sciences and has worked for Brose since 2006. He headed up Purchasing Mechatronics in North America and took over leadership responsibilities in the Drives Division. He switched positions to head up Controlling Brose Group in 2015. Raymond Mutz had been responsible for the electric air conditioning compressor product unit from 2018 before he took over the Drives Business Division.
Executive Vice President Purchasing
Periklis Nassios heads up the Central Division Purchasing Brose Group.
A native of Greece, he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and joined Brose in 1991 as a project manager responsible for French OEM sales. In 1997, he became a customer team director supporting different automakers and seat producers. From 2001 he had additional responsibilities as the deputy to the head of seat adjusters. He was responsible for the seat systems business division from 2006 to 2017 before taking over responsibility for group-wide purchasing.
Executive Vice President Interior
Sandro Scharlibbe heads the Business Division Interior and is responsible for products such as front and rear seat structures, seat components and adjustment systems for the vehicle interior. He is also responsible for Sales and the East Asian market in this role.
Sandro Scharlibbe has a degree in business administration from Coburg University of Applied Sciences and joined Brose in 1996 as a salesperson. From 2010 to 2012, after having held a number of managerial positions in the seat systems business division, he was responsible for drives development/purchasing (window regulators, seat and closure systems). Prior to his appointment to the executive management board in July 2012, he was Vice President Purchasing of the Brose Group. He was responsible for the Brose Group’s worldwide procurement management from 2012 to 2017 before taking over the Seat business division.
Executive Vice President Exterior
Christof Vollkommer is head of the Exterior business division and products such as door modules and access and closure systems. He is also responsible for the Brazil and India markets in this role.
Christof Vollkommer began his career in 1983 with apprenticeship training and specialization as an industrial fitter and master mechanical engineering technician at Brose. He was a test engineer and project manager and was responsible for Test Door Systems in Detroit/USA. As a product unit manager he was responsible for liftgate systems, side door drives and most recently access and closure systems. In addition, Vollkommer was deputy to the Vice President of the Door business division from 2017 to 2019.
