Commodity Buyer

Your Job Specification

  • Support of market and product research for assigned commodities/projects to identify new production processes and technologies
  • Support of Global Commodity Lead Buyer with relevant data for supplier and commodity strategy
  • Responsible for identification of alternative suppliers
  • Responsible for request for quotation (RfQ) process including alignment of sourcing calendar, bundling, execution and shortlisting
  • Responsible for preparation and execution of negotiations including supplier recommendation
  • Accountable for contracting in collaboration with Brose Service Center
  • Responsible for consolidation and update of (series) demand for assigned commodities
  • Responsible for continuous cost and value improvement for the assigned commodities
  • Responsibility for management of assigned commodities and suppliers including annual price negotiations
  • Responsible for project target achievement (in time & in cost & in quality) within area of responsibility

Your Profile

  • Experience with software SAP
  • Experience to understand cost break down and identify opportunities
  • Purchasing experience 5-7 years on direct production material for Automotive industry
