Electronics Project Engineer

- Lead technical discussions with customers, act as point of contact regarding technical concepts, project development and new products
- Follow the Brose Product Development process through all phases of the project (acquisition through launch)
- Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, design guidelines, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications
- Interpret the needs and wants of the customer into a concise system requirement. This may include working with the customer to interpret their requirements and proposing existing solutions within Brose
- Develop system requirements specifications in agreement with customer and in accordance with existing specifications (customer, supplier, and/or internally)
- Decompose system requirements into detailed software requirements
- Identify possibilities to reuse requirements to minimize test case generation
- Provides a technical interface between the customer, Brose Headquarters, and supplier, accommodating Customer Team interests
- Develop timing charts, monitor upcoming tasks and milestones, identify delinquent items
- Review customer specifications during the quoting phase to identify deviations and assist in planning hours
- Coordinate the creation of required documents, drawings and specifications
- Define level of software in test samples, documentation and preparation of samples for internal and external use
- Actively participate in FMEAs
- Check customer and supplier drawings/standards
- Manages change requests (internally and externally) according to the Brose standard engineering change process
- Communicate/coordinate with the customer team and central functions (electronics department at Brose headquarters)
- Support Brose electronics purchasing and electronics quality to ensure EMS meets all Brose standards for production readiness
- Directs and coordinates integration of technical activities and products
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
- Minimum of four years’ experience in Electrical Engineering with Automotive Body Electronics Minimum of three years’ experience in Project Engineering and/or Systems Engineering
- Hands-on experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANape, CANalyzer)
