Global Sourcing Office Buyer

Your tasks

  • Creation / adoption of project-specific purchasing concepts together with the global project team as internal customers
  • Conduction of RfX and evaluation of the quotes considering the specified requirements and complying with the purchasing strategies
  • Coordination of technical meetings (feasibility study / concepts / etc.) with suppliers, including the necessary technical functions (Quality / Design / Tool Technology)
  • Preparation and conduction of (pre-)negotiations with suppliers, presentation of supplier choice for the decision meeting
  • Responsible for the definition of target costs and taking the corresponding purchasing strategies into account
  • Continuous identification of cost reduction measures (RACE)and implementation of these while complying to the defined project and department objectives as well as the general purchasing strategies
  • Continuous demand planning (short, mid and long-term) and verification for the assigned projects, Involvement and participation in annual price negotiations
  • Provides support to production regarding change management coordination of technical changes of purchased parts and implementation of economical improvements.

Your Profile

  • Personal / social competencies: Communication skills, decision making ability, power of conviction, ability to work under pressure
  • Methodical competencies: Negotiation skills, presentation skills, project management skills
  • Functional competencies: Basic automotive mechatronics/electronics applications know-how, Legal aspects in purchasing, financial accounting, APQP, technical understanding, automotive electronics procurement/production/quality related experience in EMS or Tier1 will be a plus.
  • IT skills: MS Office, SAP
  • Team skills: solution oriented and open for change, acts reasonable and reliable, creates an atmosphere of trust, keeping commitments
