Your Job Specification
- Design processes that exceed targets for performance, quality, floorspace and cost
- Author process flow, manpower, line layout and assembly equipment requirements that ensure equipment capacity and line balancing
- Lead cross functional team in development and standardization of welding processes, design for manufacturing topics and error proofing strategy (P-FMEA and Control Plan)
- Support manufacturing facilities with process and equipment troubleshooting
- Develop industry leading welding processes for performance, quality, and cost
- Develop capital equipment and tooling budgets and timelines with internal and external customers/vendors that support overall program milestones and goals
- Prepare and deliver all necessary documentation (e.g., equipment specification, timelines, PFMEA, work instructions) for the procurement of manufacturing equipment
- Drive vendor selection and technical negotiation process with corporate purchasing
- Follow progress and integrity of new capital equipment/tooling builds and oversee the execution of equipment build, buy off events and recovery plans
- Manage the modification and/or reutilization process for existing capital equipment

Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Industrial, Systems, Welding or Mechanical Engineering
- Two+ years of experience in Industrial, Process or Manufacturing Engineering for mass production with emphasis on procurement of manufacturing equipment
- Experience with welding technology
- Experience with design for manufacturing, assembly process development
- Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing tools, and value stream design
