Splunk Expert and main Administrator

Your tasks

Main responsible for our Splunk cloud infrastructure with 1.6 TB ingest/d including all aspects of administration and optimization.
Management of the data ingest infrastructure on Linux and Windows Server with around 3500 universal agents and 10 intermediate forwarders.
Maintain different forwarding channels e.g. for Splunk cloud, Splunk test and external SIEM.
Administration of IT internal use cases for Splunk including setup and optimization of data onboarding and creation of Splunk knowledge objects like dashboards, alerts, or reports.
Develop and configure special data onboardings and lookups e.g. based on db connect or similar.
Ensure data quality and prevent data losses with ingest monitoring by TrackMe App.
Supporting and training of IT member which run selfservice use cases in our Splunk environment.
Developing Splunk Apps for IT use cases and for department internal need.
Run the Brose internal Splunk community meetings.
Support SOC team to use Splunk as data lake for forensic analysis.
Provide Documentation and Guidelines for IT-internal customer.
Analysis and implement best practices for the existing installation.
Work as part of an international IT team located in Pune, Ostrava and Bamberg.

Your Profile

Splunk admin knowledge on expert level for app management, data onboarding and forwarder management.
Good knowledge in SPL, knowledge objects and Splunk App creation.
Good personal standing as main responsible for all aspects of our Splunk environment.
Practical experience with Linux and Windows.
Some Scripting knowledge for Linux or Windows.
Understanding and creation of simple SQL queries.
Willing to keep constantly learning and improving.
Good English and presentation.
Team oriented.
