Welding Technician

Your Job Specification

  • Provide welding and tooling support on all welding equipment including setting up of welding programs and fixturing
  • Complete required PM’s for welding equipment including, but not limited to the fixturing and the robot
  • Programming and maintaining of SKS, Fronius, Lincoln, Miller, Tregaskiss and Yaskawa Motoman Robotic programming to minimize technical downtime as well as root cause analyses
  • Troubleshooting on all welding equipment, including MIG and laser welding systems
  • Develop standardized documentation for welding equipment and training
  • Detect possibilities and execute tasks related to continues improvement and problem-solving projects
  • Participate and support during new equipment installs, ramp-ups and trails
  • Able to work flexible hours and shifts according to the company’s needs
  • Understanding in depth programming of Yaskawa motorman welding robots and setting up of process parameters and PDS sheets
  • Complies with all company policies, procedures and guidelines including code of conduct, FIRST, health and safety, environment, quality, discipline, grievance, and equal opportunities

Your Profile

  • Manufacturing/Welding Engineering Diploma (min 2 Years) with focus on robotic welding processes
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of MIG welding and Yaskawa Motoman Robotic MIG welding
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of Lincoln, Miller, Fronius or SKS
  • Allen Bradly PLC trouble shooting and programming knowledge strongly preferred
  • Needs to be fluent in Microsoft office, e.g., Outlook, Word, power point, excel
