Interview with Etienne Sembach

How to shape plastics and produce components from different raw materials - that's what I learned very vividly during an internship for the profession of process mechanic. Above all, I enjoyed working on large machines. I found the first impressions of the activities so exciting that my career choice was quickly decided. In this profession, you can choose between different specialisations. Plastics and rubber technology was my first choice because there are many plastics processing companies in my home region. Brose was my first choice, and the application went well.

In my apprenticeship, I am particularly fascinated by chemistry, which has a significant influence on the production of various plastics and the resulting properties. This means that the material can be adapted very flexibly to different requirements. That's not all I'm learning in my apprenticeship at Brose. What I particularly like is that as future process mechanics we are allowed to work directly on the machines at a very early stage, which gives us a strong practical orientation right from the start.
