Your Job Specification

  • Manages and develops various different teams to design, develop and produce world-class electronic modules.
  • Manages the technology transfer between corporate headquarters and Brose NA. Actively promote applications for Brose with targeted customers. Lead sales activities with presentations, proposals, and direct interface with customer engineers in order to meet company sales objectives.
  • Monitor legal activities (e.g. NHTSA) and actively participate with action groups as necessary to promote opportunities.
  • Act as the face of Brose in electronics related panel discussions, industry events and other relevant speaking & interviewing engagements.
  • Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
  • Recognize key electronic issues, intervene as appropriate, and ensure resolution.
  • Generate capacity planning and adjust resources as required to meet commitments.
  • Communicate/coordinate with the Customer Team and central functions (electronics department at Brose headquarters), both at a technical and business opportunity level.
  • Support headquarters with all electronics related competitor activities as well as new technology ("benchmarking").
  • Maintain electronics lab to latest Brose standards. Create/monitor Budget and Investments in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Liaison between Brose Bamberg and Brose NA. Transfer technology through frequent contact and ensure alignment with Brose NA’s needs.
  • Investigate business opportunities in coordination with Customer Teams. Support Technical Reviews, review RFQ’s, and generate optimal proposals.
  • Develop and lead people to achieve their career goals in line with company objectives.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university or similar.
  • Ten years’ experience in automotive body electronics and proven technical sales experience with OEM's.
  • Knowledge about micro controllers.
  • Basic knowledge in schematic design, EMC and EMI.
  • Basic knowledge in software design.
  • Knowledge of hardware development.
  • Familiarity with FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis).
  • Influence of environment in automotive applications.
  • Project management skills.
  • Business development.
  • Automotive electronic market trends and general automotive technology trends.
