Production Team Manager

- Build an effective manufacturing team including recruiting, training, developing and conducting performance reviews, with close collaboration with the functional coordinators.
- Ensure that there is an effective succession planning and development planning for the team to cover the future needs of the business and the career progression of the team members · Ensure that the team plans and organizes production capacity (personnel and equipment) in order to meet customer programmed requirements., efficiently and effectively
- Work together with the business division customer teams to support the effective introduction of new product lines and the optimization of existing serial production
- Monitor and control key performance indicators; safety, cost (plan budgets, monitor results, formulate forecasts when required for the value stream), process, quality, delivery, housekeeping, absence, etc. in accordance with company requirements, main point of escalation for the team to remove road blocks
- Respond to and find solutions to production issues, liaise with other internal departments as necessary. Ensure minimum disruption to customer deliveries
- Contribute to and support the introduction of new products, facilities, machinery and process in the area of responsibility
- Support and participate in continuous improvement activities in order to optimize equipment and processes.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures of the company including health, safety and environmental and be pro-active in the development of a safe working environment
- Additional duties and responsibilities as required
- Ensure that the manufacturing area adheres to all Brose processes and procedures
- Full responsibilty for BMW and Volvo manufacturing areas to ensure achievement of key performance indicators, culture in alighment with Brose goals, principles and strategy.
Your Profile
- Post secondary education in an engineering program and/or equivalent experience in a managerial role
- At least three (3) years in a quality or production engineering role, plus one (1) year in a managerial role preferred. Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
- Skills: Project management and implementation of new products SAP Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques gained within the automotive industry Comprehensive knowledge of production planning and control Evidence of leadership and team building skills Good communication / inter-personal skills Strong Leadership Skills
