Project Engineer Development (m/f/d)

Your Job Specification

  • Technical management, typically of B projects in accordance with the project management guidelines
  • Definition of B projects:Projects in one or more regions with business, customer, and supplier relationships yet to be established, in a familiar or new plant environment with the adoption of the plant concept with partly new production and testing technology; in the process, partly new components are developed; product and customer specifications are partly known
  • Steering the development of drives/systems together with designers according to PDP and project management guidelines under the supervision of the superior / project manager
  • Development of solution approaches for products and processes including alternative concepts – including the use of new technologies including a comparison of advantages and disadvantages in coordination with the project manager of the customer team
  • Collaboration in analyzing the cost development of components and deriving measures for permanent cost reduction and their implementation
  • Carrying out patent and market analyses (benchmarking); evaluating the results and deriving measures
  • Defining and releasing the contents of technical documents, taking into account the results of the departments involved (e.g. testing, production planning) after consultation with the superior
  • Coordinating the activities of external development partners / suppliers in consultation with the superior/designer responsible for the project (task definition, quality assurance of results)
  • Collaboration in creating and maintaining design FMEAs / process FMEAs / interface FMEAs

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed technical Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, e.g. mechatronics, electrical engineering, electronics or a similar area
  • 3 - 5 years of professional experience in a similar position, preferably within the automotive supplier industry
  • Know-how in the development of electric drives and design
  • Experience in technical project management
  • Fluent English language skills
