Triumph in Shanghai: Masters title for Krawietz and Pütz

German Davis Cup doubles pair Kevin Krawietz (33) and Tim Pütz (37) celebrate their first Masters title together. After winning the 2024 ATP World Championships, the victory in Shanghai is the next major title and the doubles specialists' second biggest joint success.
In the final of the ATP Masters on Sunday, the duo from Coburg and Frankfurt beat Sweden's Andre Goransson and Alex Michelsen from the USA 6:4, 6:4 after a commanding performance. The tournament victory lifted the duo to sixth place in the annual rankings.
"We put in a really good performance during the week. We're very proud of it," said Krawietz, referring to just one set loss in the entire tournament. "It was tough conditions, but all the players had to deal with that. We are now very happy," added Pütz.
The two world champions move on to the ATP 500 tournament in Switzerland. The Swiss Indoors Basel starts on 18.10.
