ATP Finals: Bumpy start for Krawietz and Pütz
Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz have lost their first group match at the ATP Finals in Turin. The German doubles pair lost to Granollers/Zeballos (Spain/Argentina) after a close match 4:6, 6:4, 6:10 in a match tie-break.
After a weak start, they fought their way back in the second set, but were unable to prevent the defeat. They are now under pressure: they need a win in their second group match (probably on Tuesday) to keep their chances of reaching the semi-finals alive.
The group has a strong line-up, including the top seeds Glasspool/Cash from Great Britain. Krawietz/Pütz surprisingly won the title last year and also won the Masters in Shanghai in 2025.
