ATP Masters Paris: Success against Alexander Zverev

Paris, 10-28-2025

After winning their first ATP 1000 tournament together in Shanghai, Kevin Krawietz from Coburg, who is supported by Brose, and his teammate Tim Pütz took a short break to recover. Now they are back on top form and quickly eliminated the top German player and third-ranked player in the singles world rankings, Alexander Zverev, and his Brazilian partner Marcelo Melo, the former number 1 in the doubles world rankings.

On the hard court in Paris, the German world champion duo initially fell behind in the second set after a dominant first set (6:1), but fought their way back. In the decisive tie-break, they showed their strong nerves and used their second match point to win 7:6 (7:2). Krawietz/Pütz will now face Austin Krajicek and Nikola Mektic, who won their first-round match 6:4, 6:2, in the round of 16. Mektic is the defending champion of the tournament.
