BBC Coburg: Six in a row

Coburg, 10-26-2025

BBC Coburg defeated the Fellbach Flashers by 101:87 in front of almost 900 spectators in the HUK-COBURG arena on Sunday afternoon. Coburg proved to be extremely accurate from beyond the arc in particular on the day. After its recent rather modest success from outside, the club from Coburg drained a whopping 15 buckets from beyond the arc at a rate of 45 percent (15/33) and so put itself on the road to victory.

The BBC's best scorer was shooting guard Dylan Fasoyiro, who notched up 30 points for the Flashers. He was supported by wing Nico Höllerl (21 points, 6/11 threes) and the spiritus rector in Coburg's play, Nico Wenzl, who notched up a double-double for the second time this season with twelve points and 14 assists. With an additional seven rebounds, the BBC captain only just missed out on a triple-double.

Coburg's Head Coach Patrick Seidel was particularly pleased with his players' second half in what was their sixth win in their sixth competitive game: "I'm very happy with the boys today. We naturally played against a Fellbach team that is extremely unpleasant and very difficult to play against. In the first half, they played zone defense almost all the time, which was actually quite obvious to us after our preparation in the week, but playing against it is something completely different. However, we found very good solutions after the break and got a much, much better grip, especially in defense, which meant we were able to play more of the transition basketball that suits us. As a result, we deserved to win in the end and are now 6:0, so I don't have much to complain about."

After two home games in the space of eight days, BBC Coburg has to play away again this Sunday afternoon (November 2). The third-placed team in the ProB Süd table, Porsche Basketball-Akademie Ludwigsburg, awaits the front-runners in a really tough encounter.
