Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz kicked off their 2025 French Open campaign with an impressive performance. In the first round, they faced the Polish duo Piotr Matuszewski and Karol Drzewiecki and secured a commanding straight-sets victory, winning 6–3, 6–3. From the very beginning, the German pair dominated the match. With powerful serves, precise net play, and nearly flawless coordination, they left their opponents with little chance. They particularly showcased their class in the first set, and in the second, they earned an early break and defended it consistently.

With this win under their belts, Krawietz and Pütz now look ahead to the second round, where they will face Ivan Dodig of Croatia and Orlando Luz of Brazil. The match is scheduled for May 31. Although Dodig is an experienced doubles player with Grand Slam titles and Luz is considered a dynamic and talented partner, Krawietz and Pütz enter the match as clear favorites. Experts give them about an 80 percent chance of winning, thanks largely to their experience on clay courts and their well-established team chemistry.

If they can replicate their first-round performance, they stand a good chance of overcoming this next challenge and progressing further in the tournament.
