On Sunday, April 20, 2025, German tennis players Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz competed in the final of the BMW Open in Munich. Unfortunately, they were defeated by the Swedish-Dutch pair Andre Goransson and Sem Verbeek with a score of 4-6, 4-6.
The final started poorly for the German duo, as Tim Pütz lost his serve right at the beginning. Goransson and Verbeek managed to maintain this advantage until the end of the first set, winning it 6-4. In the second set, the underdogs achieved an early break, which they also held onto until the end of the set. Despite some break opportunities in the last game, Krawietz and Pütz were defeated after 1 hour and 12 minutes of play.
With this loss, Krawietz and Pütz, who are ranked sixth in the world, missed their 100th joint victory on the tour and their fifth title after their success at the tournament in Adelaide at the beginning of the year. Next up for the duo is a short break before they continue at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Madrid at the end of April.
