After a flawless drive, Patrik Dinkel and Anna Hinrichs claimed the podium at the 18th Main-Kinzig Rally in their Brose Mitsubishi. With nearly 80 participants, the starting field was of high caliber – last year’s winners Tom Kässer and Stephan Schneeweiß had to settle for second place in their Peugeot 208 Rally4, trailing by 7.6 seconds.

The event kicked off with a large circuit, “Klesberg I,” spanning ten kilometers over a hilly terrain that demanded courage and precision. Here, last year’s champions Kässer/Schneeweiß set the fastest time, signaling that this would be no easy rally. The second stage, “Leisenwald I,” featured a higher proportion of gravel, which played into Dinkel’s hands. After a commanding best time, Dinkel/Hinrichs reached the halfway point with a two-second lead. “This is a really intense battle for the overall win – we need to stay focused and push to the limit,” said Dinkel Jr., setting the tone for the second loop.

Said and done! In the second round, Patrik and Anna secured the remaining best times and were celebrated as overall winners in the evening at the packed festival tent. “The MSC Wächtersbach-Hesseldorf deserves great praise – it’s amazing what they put together year after year, and the strong turnout confirms their excellent work. Many thanks to everyone who supports us, cheers us on, and helps in any way,” said co-driver Anna, visibly moved.

The next event is already scheduled: the Untergöningen Rally Sprint on August 2, where young co-driver Justin Apel will join Patrik Dinkel in the cockpit, aiming for another top result.
