Erlangen, 01-18-2019

HC Erlangen has captured the DKB German Handball League’s Youth Certificate 2019 for the excellent quality of its work with young players. The German Handball League informed the persons in charge of running the first-division club from Franconia about the accolade yesterday afternoon. As in the previous season, the HCE is thus one of a select group of clubs to hold this seal of quality.

“I’d like to express my great thanks to everyone who helped us obtain the Youth Certificate. This certificate is the reward for our hard work over the past 12 months,” said Tobias Wannenmacher, Youth Coordinator at the HC, adding: “However, I’d especially like to thank our booster club led by Dr. Carsten Bissel, Florian Dittmeyer and Harald Kraus and our sponsors and partners. Without their support, we would not have managed to achieve what we have in the past years.”

He particularly emphasizes the cooperation with the partner school Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium and the fitness partner Sportland Erlangen. René Selke, Managing Director of the professional section, is likewise delighted about winning the award again:

“Our main club has developed sensationally in the past years. The fact that all of HC Erlangen’s youth teams play in their top divisions makes us very proud and shows that HC Erlangen continues to attract talented youngsters from the Metropolitan Region.”
