Krawietz and Pütz reach Wimbledon round of 16 after a tough battle

Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz have reached the last sixteen of the prestigious Wimbledon tennis tournament. However, the German duo had difficulties against India's Yuki Bhambri and France's Albano Olivetti. After a long and intense battle on Friday, the Davis Cup doubles team won 4:6, 6:4 and 6:3. Their opponent for the upcoming round of 16 has not yet been decided.

Kevin Krawietz will now also compete in the mixed doubles at Wimbledon, alongside 35-year-old Russian Alexandra Panova. Panova, who has already won several WTA doubles titles, is known for her two-handed backhand and strong net play. Krawietz and Panova will face Laura Siegemund from Germany and Austin Krajicek from the USA in the last 32. The match will take place today, 8 July, at 14:50.
